Robert A. Chumbook Jr. is a cancer survivor whose personal battle inspired him to create the Lone Warrior Foundation. After being diagnosed with terminal cancer, Robert transformed his fight into a holistic lifestyle centered around nutrition, exercise, and spiritual wellbeing.
His book, Lone Warrior's Journey, chronicles his path from diagnosis to recovery and serves as the foundation's guiding vision. Today, Robert dedicates his life to ensuring no single parent has to fight cancer alone.

Our History
Lone Warrior Foundation was established to bring hope, education, and enlightenment to families struggling with the challenges of health and wellness during a cancer diagnosis.
The genesis of the foundation is the literary work Lone Warrior's Journey, written by Robert A. Chumbook Jr. The book recounts Robert's fight to survive terminal cancer and his journey creating a fundamentally holistic lifestyle centered around nutrition, exercise, and spiritual wellbeing.
The mission is to assist single-parent families who have been faced with the realities of cancer. The goal is to address the enormous challenges that a family faces financially, physically, and emotionally when either a parent or child is diagnosed with cancer.
The Diagnosis

Robert A. Chumbook Jr.
Founder & Chairman
An entrepreneur who built businesses across fitness, financial services, and consulting, Rob is a Stage 4 cancer survivor who raised his daughter as a single father while fighting his own battle. He founded the Lone Warrior Foundation so no single parent has to face cancer alone.

Dana M. Alexander, CPA
CFO / Treasurer
A CPA with 17 years of experience specializing in not-for-profit accounting, Dana was raised in St. Louis by a single mother and has watched close relatives battle cancer as single parents. The mission resonated deeply, and she now leads the foundation's finances.

Ashley Cetin
Secretary
Ashley Cetin is a nonprofit professional with more than 12 years of experience in fundraising, development, and community engagement. She has served in leadership roles with Special Olympics and V for Victory, where she was Executive Director. Ashley is honored to serve as Secretary of the Lone Warrior Foundation and looks forward to using her experience and passion for service to support the Foundation's mission.

Kaitlin
Director of Operations
Kaitlin brings several years of nonprofit program and operations experience, along with a deeply personal connection to Lone Warrior's mission. Having experienced the challenges of being a single parent while caring for a child battling cancer, she understands how profoundly cancer can impact an entire family. She is passionate about using her experience to support single parents battling cancer and help ensure they feel seen, supported, and never alone.
